And The Day Goes On...

After the pool, mom went to rest for a while in the room, and I blogged and checked out the rest of the resort.

PLAYACAR PLAZA
There's a little plaza just down the street from the RIU Tequila, so mom and I walked over there before dinner.

We were so hungry, but the restaurant didn't open till 6:30 p.m. Darn European schedule!!!

DINNER
Dinner was buffet-style at the Jalisco restaurant. There was a large variety, and the food was way better than Punta Cana.

Best of all, for dessert, they had coconut ice cream! I better buy a stock in the Hollywood Cookie Diet when I return!

PLAYA DEL CARMEN
Mom and I went to Playa Del Carmen where she bought so many drugs, they gave her some free and a beach bag! LOL The didn't have her Forteo, however.

Rolandi's
I stopped in Rolandi's to say "Hi" to my friend Omar. He said that business has been slow, but they are surviving. He was very thankful for my report of Rolandi's on Trip Advisor. I didn't even tell him that I wrote it, but he said the owner saw it.

Shopping
Mom was too tired and her feet hurt too much to shop. Next time I'm putting a casino at the end of the street!

She relaxed her feet for a while at Aldo's Gelato after going with me to the currency exchange on 10th Avenue. She was freaking out, and I told her that I went in more local areas than that.

Fusion
We went to Fusion to see the fire show, but knew that it didn't start till 10:00. Mom just wanted to sit and relax, so we listened to the band and she had a Virgin Bloody Mary and I had a Sangria. It was still early, so I felt bad and ordered a Latte' too. What a combo!

Mom loved the ambiance, and finally the fire show, which is very impressive.

Afterwards, we took a taxi back to the hotel. We watched the end of the entertainment, which was pretty good (if you could tolerate all of the smoke!).
