Day 2

Breakfast
We had breakfast at the buffet.

Joyeria
We went to my secret Joyeria on Calle 4, but it wasn't open, so we went to see Jorge first, and he wasn't open yet either!

Mom was freaking out because she was too hot and she didn't like the neighborhood. LOL

We had a bottled water at Los Tulipanes on 5th Avenue to cool off, and Jorge still wasn't there at almost 10:30 a.m., so we left.

Bracelets
When I got back, I wanted to get the bracelets for Connor and Evan that my friend Cindy asked me to get. I walked over to Plaza Playacar, and ordered them (mom stayed in the room to cool off).

While I was waiting for the guy to make the bracelets, I found a really unique necklace and the lady said she'd give me an additonal 20% off. I was still thinking about it, but then decided that I didn't get anything yet, so I was going to go for it (plus, it was one-of-a-kind). LOL.....I thought that it was $38.00, but it was $380.00!!! Who in their right mind would buy that?

RIU Yucatan
When I got back, mom wanted to go to the RIU Yucatan for lunch and to use their pool. We waited for the shuttle that never came because it apparently broke down. Just as we started walking, it started to rain. We took a tax (for the very short distance). Then, came the downpour!!! It lasted about 10 minutes, so we had a drink in the lobby.

We had lunch by the pool restaurant and then I walked the beach while mom read.

When I came back, we just hung there for a while.

Shops
We looked at the shops at the Caribbean Street within the RIU Yucatan, but they didn't have anything exciting. Mom wanted to try the Joyeria again.

Joyeria
We took another taxi over, but they were still closed. The guy next door was trying to tell me that they moved, but he didn't speak English. The people next to him were kind of pretending they had no idea what we were talking about. I don't think they want the general public to know about it. I will be so bummed if it's gone for good! I will ask my friends at La Kalaka! I can't ask Jimeer because his restaurant is closed and for rent now too.

We walked around a little more since it cooled off some, and then took another taxi back to our hotel.

Pool
We read some more at our pool until the sun went away.
