Day 5 - Our Final Day!

Well, we were up bright and early to catch our 10:30 a.m. flight. Even the Bell Boys are not there that early!

We stopped in the Sports Bar and had a drink. We were the first morning pick-up, and fortunately, we only picked up others at the other RIU resorts in the area. Everyone was late, and it was very annoying.

Security
Mom's purse and carry-on did not make it through Security without being checked. It was her pill box in her purse, and her Forteo injection in her carry-on. Believe it or not, they didn't even stop her at O'Hare....quite scary!

The 9:30 a.m. USA 3000 flight was delayed and eventually cancelled. We had extra room on our plane, so I'm not sure why they didn't move some of those people.

Flight
Mom and I had an empty seat between us again. I was sleeping soundly until we hit some major turbulence! I do not like turbulence. Anyhow, we landed early, and since mom had a wheel chair, we zipped right through all of the lines.

The Vacation is Over
You never get to truly enjoy or relax from a vacation, because something always happens! Dad picked us up from the airport and told us that Grandma wasn't doing well. Since we were so close to her house, we decided to go straight there. She was very disoriented and her hands were shaky. We picked up some new medicine that the ER prescribed, but unfortunately, the family didn't make her stay in like they wanted her to. They need to do what is right for her, and stop thinking that she can make these decisions. Tomorrow Aunt Char and my dad are taking her to her own doctor, so we will find out more! It's so scary leaving her alone.

Book Report
Sydney needed help typing her book report, so we picked her up on the way home, and I helped her. Her report was on China (naturally, I asked her why she didn't choose Mexico).

Needless to say, it's been an exhausting day!
